Dr. Paul Jones , Jr.
Dr. Paul Jones Jr. is a native New Yorker who attended CUNY Queens College and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Religious Studies. He earned his DDS degree from the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. He received the class award for Removable Prosthodontics based on his clinical performance at Columbia. He authored two published case reports in the Columbia Dental Review and volunteered dental services to children in underserved communities during the Kids Dental Mission Trip to Manila, Philippines.
He earned a Master of Science degree in Prosthodontics from the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. He completed his research thesis on Zirconia Ceramics and received first place for student research presentations at the NY Northeast Gnathologic Society Scientific Meeting and the NY American College of Prosthodontics Scientific Meeting. Dr. Jones Jr. is a clinical instructor in the Department of Post Graduate Prosthodontics at Columbia University.
Dr. Jones Jr. is a member of the American College of Prosthodontics, the American Dental Association, the New York State Dental Association, New York County Dental Society, and the Dental Lifeline Network. He enjoys spending time with family, exercise and audiobooks.
Dr. Joseph C De Lisi
Dr. Joseph C. De Lisi is a second generation dentist, with his father and Dr. Frank Mellana establishing this practice in 1969. He attended Muhlenberg College and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in 1977. He received his DDS degree in 1981 from Columbia University, and has practiced at this location since then.
Dr. De Lisi taught at Columbia University’s Dental School from September 1981 until January 2019, serving in both the Prosthodontics and Operative Dentistry departments. He is a fellow of the New York Academy of Dentistry and tests dental products for the Clinicians Report.
When not seeing patients, Dr. De Lisi can often be found doing renovation projects or on his boat.
Dr. David Gottlieb
Dr. David S. Gottlieb (Periodontist) has practiced periodontology for over 40 years, incorporating implants into his practice. He received his DMD degree from Tufts University. He then served in the United States Navy and was awarded a fellowship from the National Institutes of Health. He completed his clinical research at Columbia University, where he earned a certificate in Periodontics. He has been a member of the post-graduate faculty of the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, the New York University College of Dentistry and is presently an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontics/Implantology at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Gottlieb has served as President of the Connecticut Society of Periodontists. As President, he worked with Health Volunteers Overseas to assist in establishing periodontal programs in Volograd, Russia and Hanoi, Vietnam.
He married his beautiful wife while in dental school and they have three daughters and six grandchildren. He plays clarinet in his community band, enjoys fine wine, and has participated in an annual bike/hike trip with 10 friends for the past 35 years.
Dr. David P Pitman
Dr. David P. Pitman (Periodontist) received his Bachelor of Arts Degree Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania College of Arts and Sciences and his D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where he received the Alpha Omega Scholarship Award and the Abram Cohen Award for Excellence in Periodontics. He did his post-doctoral studies in periodontics at Columbia University's School of Dental and Oral Surgery.
Dr. Pitman is certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Periodontology in both periodontology and implant surgery.
Dr. Pitman was President of the Columbia Dental Alumni Association and the Columbia Periodontal Alumni Association. He recently served as Chair of the New York Section of the American College of Dentists and President of the New York Academy of Dentistry. He was a Trustee of the Northeastern Society of Periodontists. Dr. Pitman was also President of his local Board of Health. He is also proud to have received the Distinguished Periodontal Alumni Award in 2008.
Dr. Pitman teaches postgraduate students at Columbia, where he is an Associate Clinical Professor, and in 1999 received the Faculty Mentor Award from his students and colleagues. Dr. Pitman has also been named in America's Top Dentist's Guide every year since 2004.
Dr. David Dane
Dr. David S. Dane (Endodontist) received his DDS degree from the Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. He completed a General Practice Residency at the VA Medical Center in Montrose, New York and practices general dentistry for several years before entering specialty training. He earned an Endodontics Certificate from the New York University College of Dentistry.
Dr. Dane has been actively involved in dental education at both the hospital and university levels for the past twenty years. He has held academic appointments at the New York University College of Dentistry for 15 years and at St. Barnabas Medical Center for 5 years. He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Endodontists, the New York State Dental Society, the New York Country Dental Society, and the New York Academy of Dentistry.
